KID CONJURERS CLASS

Children Ages: 8 to 11 years

The class will teach the students basic magic techniques that will include easy introductory effects that do not require costly or exotic materials. It will impress upon new minds the beauty of performing magic with everyday, readily available objects. The children will receive a text from which they can further learn and practice simple magic effects they can perform for friends and family.

THE ART OF MAGIC

Children Ages: 12 to 15 years

The class will teach the students basic magic techniques, and expand upon these basics to introduce more advanced effects and sleights with common objects, as each student is ready. Each lesson will include a brief introduction to magic theory and ethics, historic milestones and names in magic, and will cover a wide range of magic, in order to give a solid overview on what is available.

The students will receive a text from which they can further learn and practice simple magic effects they can perform for friends and family.

The International Brotherhood of Magicians

I.B.M. Youth programs provide budding young magicians with hands-on training and guidance in the theatrical art of magic.

Membership in the I.B.M. Youth program is open to any youth between the ages of 7 through 17 years with a serious interest in the performance art of magic. Parents are always welcome and are encouraged to attend and participate.

The I.B.M. Youth Program has five basic goals:

  • To educate young magicians on magic ethics, history and performance skills of the international magic community.
  • To provide a safe and professional mentoring association between skilled adults and youth members.
  • To promote positive self-esteem and confidence among serious young magicians.
  • To sculpt our magical youth into adults who will honor the fraternal traditions of the I.B.M..
  • To project a community awareness of magic as a valued theatrical art and community service.

Youth Member (age 7 to 17)

The Society of Young Magicians

The Society of Young Magicians (S.Y.M.) worldwide organization for youth, ages 7 through 17, to promote interest in magic as a wholesome hobby that will help develop self-confidence and skill; the ability to speak in public; discipline that comes from learning, practicing, and performing magic; and a sense of service through helping others learn magic and by performing magic at charitable events.
